Dial: very good glossy gilt dial that has aged to a deep black semi-gloss finish that shows light aging with clear and sharp gilt gold writing including the underline. The tritium hour markers and hands have developed a patina with age and there is some lume loss on the hour markers. When exposed to UV light the hour markers and hands shine brightly then drop off quickly as they should.
Case: excellent 40mm pointed crown guard case serial number 988,XXX that may have been refinished at some point. Lugs are still thick with crisp bevels present and sharp crown guards. Bezel insert has aged to a beutiful blue-grey hue and looks distinctly navy in natural light. The inside of the case back is signed III.63. Very good Swiss Rolex 7206 rivet bracelet with moderate stretch. Both the model number and serial number are easily visible.
Movement: Rolex caliber 1520 movement is in good working order, service history is unknown.
